Thanks to your generous contributions through our UCLA Spark campaign last year, Heal My HeArt is helping heart transplant patients get through the long wait and healing process.

“A prolonged hospitalization while waiting for a life-saving organ is an emotional and stressful journey,” says Dr. Martin Cadeiras, an assistant clinical professor of cardiology at UCLA, who created the program along with a group of UCLA students, medical professionals and patients who have gone through heart transplantation. “Heal My HeART provides patients with the opportunity to escape the reality of heart disease and transplantation through art.”

Thank you to all of our supporters who made the tirp out to UCLA's Kerckhoff Grand Salon. The art show was a huge hit! Because of YOU we have exceeded our initial goal of $5,000 in just seven days! Your generosity and dedication to our project has allowed us to take the next steps in developing out program. 

With the $5,000 we have received, we will be able to provide the art supplies (pencils, brushes, paints, paper, and musical instruments) to our heart failure patients! 

We now have an extraordinary opportunity to continue to grow our program, and are excited to announce that we have extended our project’s goal by $5,000!  By raising this additional amount, we will be able to provide our patients with dedicated art therapists that will serve as guides in their artistic self expression. 

With 26 days left and $5,000 in hand, imagine the possibilities with $10,000!

 Our Heal My HeART team recently received a $500 gift from a beloved donor family, who made their gift in honor of Federica Raia and Mario Deng.
