This generous challenge gift from Chris was intended to help us reach a larger audience than ever before, encourage sharing on social media, spread awareness of food insecurity at UCLA, and promote CPO's Food Justice Initiatives.

"There were times where I had to think: Should I prioritize food or should I prioritize books for class?"
Dear Supporters,
As many of you prepare to spend the Thanksgiving holiday enjoying meals with your loved ones, we wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU for helping our campaign reach 40% of our goal!
Last week, the Community Programs Office’s Food Justice Initiative offered several hundred boxes of food that UCLA community members in need will use for Thanksgiving. The boxes included the typical staples of a Thanksgiving dinner for a family of 7 to 10 people. This initiative is possible thanks to our partners across campus and the generosity of supporters like you. Your gift will allow us to serve more students through our CPO Food Closet and all of our other CPO Food Justice Initiatives.
We still need 120 donors to unlock a $25,000 gift from Chris Arranaga. With your help, we are confident that we can reach our goal of 200 donors by December 7. Please tell your loved ones this weekend why you chose to support our campaign, share our new video and campaign page on social media, and help us raise awareness of student hunger on campus.
