Hello Friends, Family, and those I have yet to meet!
My name is Aubrey Love and I am a first year MPH student in the Health Policy and Management department at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. For those that know me, I come from a very active background in which I have been running all of my life. I live, eat, sleep, and breath running! It is my passion.
I have decided to combine my love of public health and the outdoors and run in the Los Angeles Marathon on behalf of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. This will be my 3rd marathon that I will be running and I am extremely excited! While running the 5k, 10k, or even half-marathon is a great goal, I will be doing the full 26.2 miles! It is my goal to increase public health awareness through personal action but I can not do it without your help. My peers and I need your support.
I will be running with the FSPH team to raise money for summer fieldwork fellowships (stipends) so that FSPH students can have the opportunity to participate in meaningful fieldwork experiences. This allows us to implement classroom learning in real-world settings, where compensation may not be provided. These fellowships gives us the chance make real-life impact that help to improve the public health of society.
