As a recent alumna from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, I am thrilled to join Team FSPH for a third time in supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals! Our team is committed to raising funds toward summer fieldwork fellowships for public health students. Summer fieldwork is an important opportunity to turn classroom learning into real-world experience to improve public health locally, domestically, and internationally.

My own summer training experience at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2016 played a vital role in building my project management, research design, and leadership skills as I applied classroom lessons to conduct health services research and lead meetings with healthcare professionals. Through collaboration with multiple departments and teams, this experience exposed me to the plethora of career opportunities available in healthcare and helped me refine my interests in health services research. The valuable knowledge I gained and the diversified skillset I developed helped prepare me for my current career researching methods to improve care quality, particularly for those living with chronic pain or gastrointestinal illnesses.

Please join me in this challenge where your investment in summer internships will help support invaluable work in the community and train a new generation of public health leaders. Thank you for your support!
