Our Crowdfunding Groups
On Wednesday, May 18, we hosted our annual Literacy Fair with this year's theme: When I Grow Up. Needless to say, it was a success! With every single Jumpstart student in attendance, we were able to interact, inform, and, of course, read out loud to them. We set up booths in the early morning, which included, becoming an engineer by constructing a catapult and unleashing inner artists by making flowers. We even gave them free books to take home! We never get tired of seeing the enthusiasm of curious faces. And we can not forget how this was all possible through the contributions made from the SPARK campaign.
With one day left in our fundraiser countdown, we would like to recognize the UCLA Community and beyond for contributing to the tradition of our annual Jumpstart Literacy Fair. Over the course of 29 days, 359 donors have helped us in meeting and surpassing our goal. We cannot thank you enough for every dollar donated. We are now able to provide transportation for several classrooms to attend the fair, provide lunch and supplies, and have another successful year! As for the extra donations, we are creating literacy kits for children to continue their learning outside of the classroom. This would not be possible without your generous support.
