Hello,
I'm excited to be running the 5K to help raise funds for MPH students who are pursuing their dreams in public health and need support for their summer fieldwork. I ran the LA 1/2 Marathon (Charity Challenge) in 2017 to help raise funds for students and am excited to do so once again through Team FSPH.
For my summer internship as a master's student, I was able to go to Seattle, WA and work at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Having a paid internship allowed me to not make a decision based on finances, but based on my desire to be exposed to health care at the federal level. This exposure would ultimately lead me to start my career at the Veteran's Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system.
