TODAY IS THE DAY!

May 09, 2019

The 2019 UCLA Marathon Reading is HAPPENING SOON! We’re so excited that the event we’ve been working on all year is finally here. We hope you can celebrate with us in person at Powell Library Courtyard—we are running a solid 24 hours starting at 12 noon sharp, so there are plenty of chances to catch it!

If you can't join us at Powell, be sure to follow Marathon Reading on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram to keep up with the action as it unfolds.

Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping to move the UCLA Marathon Reading Fellowship Spark campaign over the 80% mark! Your donations will directly support the research of UCLA English students this summer, and we look forward to updating you on the impact you'll make on their educational pursuits.

We are incredibly grateful to have you as our partner! Now that the Marathon Reading event is HERE, please join UCLA English in our final push by sharing the campaign page and 2019 Marathon Reading socials with your friends, networks, and Atwood/Butler fans. With your help, we'll be able to raise the remaining 16% of our goal by the time the event ends tomorrow!

Thanks again, and Go Bruins!

WE'VE REACHED 50%!

May 04, 2019

Hi Marathon Reading Summer Research Fellowship supporters,

We've reached $4,086, so we're now just over 50% to our goal! We are so grateful to you for your support, but we still need to raise another $4000 in JUST 9 DAYS, and we would be so thankful if you could help us spread the word. You could share our page (spark.ucla.edu/marathonreading) on social media, and/or personally reach out to friends, family, and colleagues, and explain why you care about the Fellowship. Even a donation of $5 or $10 will make a difference in the lives of struggling students.

See our video below for a teaser of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, and come out to hear it live on May 9!
