TRANSFORMING THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE
The Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at UCLA is dedicated to revolutionizing the practice of clinical medicine through developing stem cell-based therapies for a wide range of diseases. Stem cell therapies and other forms of regenerative medicine focus on the potential of generating healthy cells to combat diseases and restore function to damaged tissue – often utilizing the patient’s own cells. Since our founding in 2005, we have been instrumental in advancing the field of stem cell biology and are at the cutting edge of this emerging area of medicine. We are committed to conducting exceptional, multi-disciplinary research that could lead to new targeted therapies for conditions including cancer, heart disease, immune disorders, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, autism, blindness, type 1 diabetes and more.
