Due to the evolving crisis regarding COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our research trip to New Mexico. This difficult decision was made in an attempt to minimize health risks to the public as much as possible. Your generous donations remain safe with the UCLA Foundation and can only be spent on the purpose of a research trip for the Tribal Oil and Gas project.

We are disheartened to let you know that our research trip to New Mexico has been postponed until further notice due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. The University has suspended all university-related international and domestic travel given the associated public health risk of traveling during this time. Dear Donors,
Your generous donations thus far have let us plan our research trip to New Mexico! With your help, we were able to raise $2,586, and along with University grants, we were able to hit most of our fundraising goal. We re-evaluated and decided to cut back on travel expenses and are now road tripping to New Mexico. We are re-launching our SPARK campaign from January 31st onwards. Our new goal is now $3500 to cover remaining necessities -- this includes food, lodging, and transportation expenses.
