Our crowdfunding campaign has ended but you can still support UCLA Club Fencing by clicking here.
Good morning,
I am reaching out to you to let you know that UCLA Fencing has launched their annual SPARK Campaign for the 2023-2024 season. You were so gracious to donate to our previous fundraiser, and your support has made all the difference. In the past couple years, we have been able to start competing again the way we did pre-COVID.
In the spring of 2022, we competed at the only IFCSC event of the season and took gold in all 3 weapons! Last spring, we competed in an individual open held at UCSB where one of our men’s foilists also won 1st place! This past November, we held the first IFCSC event of the year here at UCLA, and our fencers are preparing for the final one held at UC Irvine next month to determine the winning university for the 2023-2024 season. Several of our members are also preparing for the Linkmeyer Invitational at USC next month. Last, but definitely my favorite, we are finally bringing back the traditional Okawa Open after 6 years, which honors our former head coach, Heziburo Okawa!
This year, we have over 60 dedicated members, and to support them all and to host and compete in all of the events we have slated this year, we’re asking for your help. We owe all of the above milestones to you and we’d greatly appreciate any donation you can make, or if you can’t donate, please spread the word. From all of us here at UCLA Fencing, thank you so much for your continued support! Go Bruins!

Help UCLA fencers get hold of the most crucial pieces of safety equipment by donating just 8 dollars.
This donation can start getting fencers away from dry fencing and towards competitive electric fencing.
With this donation you can kit out a Bruin with a fencing jacket. This is a required piece of equipment in order to protect the torso and arms of the fencer.
This donation covers the most important aspect of required equipment. The SWORD! For 53$ Club Fencing can get hold of one of the three weapons Foil/Sabre/Epee.
The mask is required for the protection of the Bruin. With this donation Club Fencing can buy masks with conductive material to allow for electric foil and saber fencing.
An electric jacket also know as a lamé is an electrically conductive jacket worn by foil and sabre fencers in order to define the scoring area. By donating 96$ we can kit out one bruin with a lamé so they can do some competitive electric fencing.
With this amazing donation you will be kitting out a UCLA student with all the equipment to start fencing epee immediately.
With this donation you will be getting a Bruin an entire Electric Foil Set and therefore expanding UCLA's competitive foil team!
This donation will get one student all the equipment needed to fence saber and thus finally allowing us to have a full Sabre team this year.
Through this unbelievable donation we can finally replace our old broken scoring machines with a brand new one. This will allow for a more fun and competitive experience for all Bruin Fencers!
This ultimate donation will achieve the dream of the club having a wireless fencing system. This would remove all the wasted time that comes with fixing old hardware and thus give more time for practice and competitions!
