Final Update!

March 11, 2020

Hello Everyone!  We have just ONE day left in our Spark Campaign!!!!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our campaign possible and to all of our donors who contributed to our cause. Your donation will make a huge difference for us moving forward, and we are incredibly grateful for all the support we have received throughout this process from friends, family, faculty, and alumni.

With the remaining time left in our campaign, we encourage everyone to send out final reminders to all your family and friends, reminding them that it is their last chance to donate to our Campaign!

From everyone in the Navajo Project, Thank You SO MUCH for believing in our cause. We are in the best position to see our vision through and we are now more motivated than ever to get to work and get our systems built!

Navajo Water Project Update

March 07, 2020

Hey Everyone!

We wanted to bring you all another update! Our campaign is still set to run for another week, and we need all the support we can get to meet our goal! We have currently raised a little over $3000, which is still well under our goal of $7,500. We encourage everyone to keep reaching out to their family and friends so that we can safely and efficiently complete our implementation trip for the summer.

In this update, we wanted to show everyone what exactly we’ve been up to since the start of our campaign. Recently, our directors gave a presentation on the goals and vision of our project with a representative from CDM Smith. CDM Smith is a leading, premier engineering consulting company in Los Angeles. It was an insightful experience for our members as they got to hear what a career after college would entail in civil engineering as well as explain their role in making our project successful! This was a great opportunity for us to get feedback on our designs and understand areas to improve on from an expert.

Recently, a ton of Mcmaster-Carr tools and supplies finally arrived! These parts are essential to our project to say the least, and we could have only ordered these parts with the funding we receive from donations such as the Spark Campaign. This is why the donations we receive are so vital and directly correlated to the success of our project. Individual parts may not be expensive, but the culmination of all the supplies needed to implement our project adds up quickly.

With all our new parts(and more coming soon), we recently had an inventory check during our last meeting. Members got to help organize our storage room and familiarize themselves with a few of the tools and technology they will be working with on our summer trip. Whether it’s a charge controller or a hammer, it’s always beneficial to get ourselves comfortable with all of our equipment!

Thank you to everyone who made our project and campaign possible thus far. We have made incredible progress this year, but we are NOT done yet! We need the support of all your family and friends to meet our campaign goal. As we get closer to our goal, our chances of implementing a successful project dramatically increase. Let’s get this water system BUILT!

Spark Campaign Update

March 01, 2020

Hey Everyone! It’s the Navajo Project!

We would like to first and foremost thank all of our donors who have contributed to our Spark Campaign thus far! We appreciate the support we have received in our campaign.

We are currently approaching the end of February, which leaves us with a little over two weeks left in our campaign. We need your help now more than ever!

This summer, we will be installing our fourth system, in the home of Harrison Begay, a musician living with his father and brother in the Cameron area. To do this, we need funding to purchase the supplies for the system as well as for travel costs to get our team out to Arizona.

Now, unfortunately, we still have a long way to go and we need your help! This trip requires a lot of resources and planning, and in order for it to happen, we need your donations! Every little bit you donate will go directly to providing us with a budget to invest in more reliable materials, and more funds to cover transportation and travel costs, tents and tools that can be used in future years! We want to meet half of our goal, to $3,750 by this Thursday, March 5th. This will put on directly on track to meet our goal amount. However, to achieve this goal, we need everyone’s continued support. Please tell all your family and friends about our project; we can only achieve this with your help!

Most importantly, if you donate to our cause, you will have a direct impact on the work we do, making a difference in the lives of Harrison Begay and his family. Your donation goes beyond just this year as we can ensure the longevity and scope of our project by taking on more projects in the future. However, we can only achieve this with support from all you

Thank you so much for considering our project, and we hope we have convinced you of our cause!
