UCLA is #BruinStrong
On March 13th, UCLA’s administration, campus leaders and public health officials made the difficult choice to extend the initial transition to remote learning to limit the spread of COVID-19 through the end of spring quarter 2020. This decision was made in order to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, while maintaining UCLA’s exemplary educational standards.
Students who are able have been asked to return home to learn remotely. Students who must stay at UCLA will be cared for, protected and sheltered. Faculty and staff are rising to the occasion, learning new ways in which to serve and keep the UCLA enterprise running while protecting themselves, their families and the community. Bruins near and far are being asked to work and play differently, while still maintaining the bonds of our UCLA family.
As in any time of crisis, the UCLA community responds with optimism and generosity - asking what they can do to help. Here’s how:
What is the Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center?
The Ashe Center is a comprehensive, multi-specialty student health center and outpatient facility available for all registered UCLA students. The Ashe Center strives to help students "shine, inside and out" by providing a multitude of services that contribute to whole-person wellness.
Your Gift In Action Combatting COVID-19
In response to this pandemic, the Ashe Center has established an Infection Control Line (310-206-6217) for patients who are concerned that they may have COVID-19. Callers will speak with a registered nurse from The Ashe Center who will determine the need for further testing and treatment, in conjunction with the Infection Control Team at the UCLA Medical Center.
A gift of any amount helps trained staff meet a student's needs during this crisis. With your support, the center can continue to offer services that will be crucial to keeping our student population healthy and informed. Your generosity will go a long way to helping Bruins severely impacted by this ongoing public health crisis.
