Our crowdfunding campaign has ended. You can still support the AASC Covid-19 Response Fund by clicking here.
Dear AASC Community,
We are so completely humbled and thankful for your generosity! Within 24 hours, UCLA’s Asian American Studies Center has reached our initial goal of 50 donors to support our COVID -19 Response Fund. Together, we will be able to translate life-saving materials related to the pandemic for our non-English speaking neighbors and family members.
As you know by now, news around COVID-19 continues to update every day, every week. Thus, we have decided to stretch our fundraising goal and we will continue to seek more gifts in support of translations for our COVID-19 Multilingual Resource Hub. We want to make sure that we can provide translation of materials, not just for today, but also as we continue to learn more about the pandemic in the coming months.
Thank you again your willingness to support our non-English speaking community at this time and thank you for the outpouring of kind messages that you have sent us in response to this program. We are so proud to see the myriad of ways that our community is coming together. On behalf of the AASC, we send you our deepest gratitude.
In safety and health,
Karen Umemoto
