Our Crowdfunding Groups
My name is Rachel and I am a senior at West High School. I have been volunteering at UCLA Medical Center for over a year, but due to the pandemic, volunteer activities have been suspended at the hospital. However, I still want to help make a difference for those in need, especially those who have to stay in the hospital for long periods of time. Mattel Youth Ambassadors allows me to both contribute to the UCLA Hospital and explore opportunities in the medical field.
Hospitals can be especially intimidating for children and since their interaction with others are very limited now, they remain in isolation for much of the time. My goal is to raise $2,500 for pediatrics; many of these patients are frequently in and out of the hospital for long periods of time. Donations will help improve the hospital's services and help ease patient discomfort. As an ambassador, our service projects are used to help enhance the stay of child patients while donations go towards programs, like music and art therapy, art and activity kits, holiday and birthday celebrations, and other special needs for patients and families.
Any amount donated is greatly appreciated by both me and the children at the hospital.
