More than 90 people stepped up to contribute over $30,000 since the start of the campaign. As a result of your direct efforts, we have spread Kwame’s story coast to coast and started building the framework for our inaugural recipient this fall!

Today on June 12th, we want to honor Kwame. He was born on September 12th and wore the jersey #12 while playing basketball in high school and college. He played with the Mamba mentality and his energy was exuded both on and off the court. His team spirit not only uplifted his basketball teams but also his teams off the court.
At the Geffen School of Medicine, his PRIME X Cohort, Eden Patton, said “Throughout my time knowing Kwame, he always inspired me to think beyond myself, and to dream beyond what I thought was possible. He was wholesomely kind, intelligent, hilarious, lighthearted, intentional and extraordinarily charismatic. I am so blessed to have the time that I had with him, and to have truly gained an extra brother.”.
At UCLA Anderson, his presence was effervescent and he even was awarded “Best of the Room” in his management class “Communication Development for Leaders.”
