Hi! I'm Angelina, and this program opened the doors to make a direct impact on children's lives within the hospital. For me, this program embodies countless qualities that I stand for, whether those being, compassion, empathy, or treating others with respect- it's such a great way to sincerely demonstrate and express all of this to the community, and I am extremely grateful to be apart of, and to be able to advocate for, a cause such as this, with the help of the many other ambassadors for UCLA's Mattel Children's Hospital.
I'm sure many people are no strangers to hospitals and the variety of emotions that reside within them. Being and feeling sick is draining and tiring enough as is, especially for the younger age groups, and with the added factor of the global pandemic, it goes without saying that the children could use a little extra support and compassion during these rough times right now.
I applied to this program to serve my passion of wanting to help others, with the children being at the forefront of this goal; while working and volunteering with countless of them over the years, I can attest that they can provide such joy, hope, and inspiration, and they deserve to feel comfort while being unwillingly away from home. Every dollar I raise will go towards boxes of cheer, get well cards, art kits, birthday activities, and more for the children. Every donation, no matter how large, counts and will be greatly appreciated!
