A year and a half ago, I opened my eyes lying hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center, an IV and intravenous medication injected up my arm. I had lost my conscience brought on by nausea and migraine. While I was still trying to process it all, in shock, a part of me felt incredibly thankful. Surrounding me were the capable medical staff—the nurse who placed me in a wheelchair escorting me to the x-ray technician and physicians who showed care in the emergency department filled with beds occupied with patients of all ages. Ever since that day, I’ve been forever touched by the medical specialists fighting on the frontlines, sacrificing themselves to save our lives.
I have created this fundraiser to express my gratitude and support the healthcare workers saving numerous lives especially now. Your donations will make a real and immediate impact on them and children at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, improving the health and wellbeing of patients by providing the finest medical care for them. Your support will also fuel pioneering research and catalyze groundbreaking discoveries in UCLA Health, contributing to the further development of healthcare innovation strategies to treat and cure disease.
