BREAKING NEWS! In just 10 days, the DBANxSpark '21 campaign hit its goal of $10,000 for the Daily Bruin Scholarship program!
Fifty-six donors from Hawaii to Massachusetts have chipped in toward the 2022-23 Daily Bruin Scholarships so far. A special shout-out to John Crittenden '78 (DB News), the 55th donor who put us over $10,000, as well as DBAN Spark Ambassador Missy Anderson '97 (DB Sports), who leads in engagements and donations! We are also grateful to friends and family of former DBAN board member Dave McNary '74 (DB News), for whom we will once again dedicate one of the 2022-23 DB scholarships.
And now, in the remaining two weeks or so of our 2021 campaign, the Daily Bruin Alumni Network is delighted to stretch our DBANxSpark goal to $15,000! Established in 2018, the DB Scholarship provides merit scholarships to Daily Bruin student-staffers pursuing careers in the press and media. Your support enables the DB scholars to spend more time in the newsroom and in the field, practicing the craft and preparing for a competitive (and important) profession upon graduation.
