*STRETCH GOAL* Dr. Henry H. Takei Periodontal Symposium

The UCLA School of Dentistry is seeking to develop a new program in honor of Dr. Henry H. Takei’s retirement after 53 years of service. Over the last five decades, Dr. Takei has built a storied career and reputation in the field of Periodontics, working tirelessly to promote our tradition of excellence in education, patient care, research, and service. To honor his incredible legacy, the UCLA School of Dentistry seeks to establish the Dr. Henry H. Takei Periodontal Symposium.

The Dr. Henry H. Takei Periodontal Symposium will bring together UCLA Periodontics alumni, graduate periodontal residents, dental students, and friends from all over the world to learn from world-renowned experts in the field of Periodontics and to encourage the pursuit of postgraduate periodontal training among UCLA dentistry students. 

Beyond Dr. Takei’s professional accomplishments, the impact of contributions through leadership and service to the School will be felt for years to come. Dr. Takei takes great pride in the relationships our residents, faculty and community continue to build with each other. The Dr. Henry H. Takei Periodontal Symposium will ensure these relationships and educational opportunities within the Periodontal community continue to flourish in his honor.
