Where can someone get help for a baby or toddler if they are concerned about developmental delays?
The UCLA Intervention Program offers comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to children ages 0-3 years old with a wide range of medical conditions, developmental risks and disabilities.
The UCLA Intervention program is a place to inspire children, emphasize their strengths and generalize new skills in a social setting. Services are provided in a specialized parent-and-me Infant Classroom or an enriched Toddler Classroom. The Program fosters each child’s independence while offering individualized support, be that equipment to facilitate their independent mobility, a guiding hand to help them complete a puzzle or simply celebrating successes with a high five. We strive to offer a safe space for children to learn, grow and most of all to have fun.
All of this happens under the close direction and supervision of a deeply caring and supportive team of professionals, including the program director, early childhood educators, and physical and occupational therapists. These specialists seek to discover each child’s unique learning style, including how they process information and what motivates them.
Developmental disability touches the lives of every segment of the population. The UCLA Intervention Program serves families from very diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds from a large geographic area of Los Angeles County and beyond.
The Program needs outside support to serve children at a critical time in their development and provide a high quality, state-of-the-art program at the level of excellence that we have been known for over the past 6 decades.
The vast majority of children in the Program are funded by the State due to their developmental delay and reimbursement rates are notoriously low. While UCLA provides the Program with physical space on campus, no University funding supports us. . In order to provide children and families with the level of service they require and deserve, we must rely on support from donors. Donations allow us to provide an enriched learning environment for to promote skill building in all developmental areas. We love what we do and with your support, we can continue to help children and families for many years to come.

Your gift will support supplies such as chunky toddler crayons and construction paper, stickers, or sensory materials like playdough and shaving cream.
Your gift will support supplies such as shape sorters, busy boxes, or toddler spoons to practice feeding.
Your gift will support supplies such as 6 board books for little hands, 3 wooden puzzles with chunky knobs, or a weighted blanket and vibrating toys for sensory input.
Your gift will support supplies such as adapted switch toys to allow those with limited mobility opportunities to play.

Your gift will support supplies such as a Gait trainer/therapeutic walker to allow a child to move around the classroom with friends, or an adaptive seating system to provide appropriate support for eating and playing.
