Austin Sheldon’s Bruin Strat Guitar

My name is Austin Sheldon and I am a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic HS in Orange County. I worked as a Cardiology Research Assistant for the past two summers and learned that patients who participate in clinical trials actually do better!

UCLA Mattel’s Children Hospital is a leader in Pediatric Research in Southern California. I want to combine my love of music, electronics and robotics to come up with a fundraising project that can make a difference.

---

UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital cares for the physical and emotional well-being of children, from newborns to young adults. UCLA's facilities are designed to serve the most critically ill children with sophisticated, compassionate care in an environment that is both welcoming and healing to children and their families.

Understanding that "children are not small adults," UCLA pays close attention to the social and emotional needs of hospitalized children and their families. When you support the Mattel Youth Ambassador program, your donation provides funds for...

- Art/activity kits

- Music therapy and programs for patients

- Birthday celebrations

- Holiday festivities for children

I am honored to be a UCLA Youth Ambassador and support Mattel Children’s Hospital & their commitment to providing the highest medical care!  I hope to raise $1,500 through this crowdfunding page & will also be donating the proceeds from the sale of a guitar (painted UCLA Blue) to UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.

Thank you for your support!
