Hi Everyone! My name is Sara and I am a Junior in High School. I am a Mattel Youth Ambassador at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. My goal is to raise $1250 to help the hospital purchase fun activities, art supplies, games, celebrations, and many more.
When I was little I had many surgeries and was interacting with nurses, doctors, other patients, and other medical staff a lot. One of the main memories I have is playing games or reading books with hospital staff specifically the nurses. Having this environment, made me not scared or uncomfortable about entering a hospital. I always felt like it was a caring environment when I entered the hospital because I always knew that everybody was there to help. This is why I wanted to join Mattel Youth Ambassador (MYA) to have other patients able to feel the same way and not to think about going to the Hospital as a scary place. I want to be able to give back to them.
All the money that I will raise will go toward the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital.
