Hello all! My name is Veronica Tapert and I'm currently a senior at Geffen Academy at UCLA. As a patient myself of the UCLA Mattel Hospital, I feel compelled to give back and help other children in my situation, so volunteering for the Mattel Youth Ambassador Program was the perfect opportunity to do so. I plan to go into pre-med in college and eventually become a pediatric pulmonologist, so, this program was perfect for me! Through the weekly meetings, I have been exposed to many different healthcare systems, and this has given me an insight into what working in the medical field is like.
Your contribution will help the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital directly. The funds raised will be used to buy painting supplies, care packages, and other amenities that will help patients feel less alone during these unprecedented times.
