Our campaign has officially ended, and we are thrilled to share that we surpassed our $13,000 goal and have raised over $15,000 in honor of the 13th year of the Dream Resource Center and Dream Summer Fellowship.
This success was made possible by your support, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. #UCLAForAll via the Dream Resource Center was aimed at empowering immigrant youth working to achieve equity for workers, immigrants, and their communities, and we are inspired by the way that this mission has resonated with our community.
These funds will be put to immediate use supporting the needs of the 2023 cohort of the Dream Summer Fellowship, which kicks off later this month on June 20. Your $13 donation will help with everyday expenses during the Dream Summer Fellowship this summer. As a thanks, you will receive a special message from the UCLA Labor Center and Dream Resource Center Director, Ju Hong (fully tax deductible).
Your $130 donation will support the cost of various materials and other expenses during this fellowship experience that prepares immigrant and undocumented young leaders for a life of service and civic engagement. As a thank you, you will receive a handwritten note from the Dream Resource Center and all the other acknowledgments at previous giving levels (fully tax deductible).
Your $500 donation will help to provide emergency funding to some of the unexpected and greatest needs that arise during the fellowship. As a thank you, you will receive a social media shout out from the Dream Resource Center and all the other acknowledgments at previous giving levels (fully tax deductible).
Your $1,300 donation will make a huge impact by helping with those expenses that allow students to be students! $1,300 can help impacted students with critical costs such as living expenses and transportation during the summer - which can be a very stressful time for many impacted students. As a thank you, you will receive a UCLA Labor Center published art or book, and all the other acknowledgments at previous giving levels (tax deductible gift of $1,290).
Your phenomenal donation of $5,000 or more, fully funds a fellowship stipend for one of our incredible student who is facing hardships associated with loss of employment due to new policies in our legal system. The Dream Summer fellowship offers undocumented and non-DACA recipients a chance to gain professional development experience with one union or community partner host organization while getting paid for it as any other Bruin would during their college experience. As a thank you, you will be invited to a special luncheon with Dream Resource Center leaders and fellows at UCLA and opening or closing retreat of DS2023, and all the other acknowledgments at previous giving levels (tax deductible gift of $4,965).
