Our crowdfunding campaign has ended, but you can still support KDSAP by clicking here.
KDSAP is an undergraduate student-run organization working to combat Chronic Kidney Disease and address the shortage of nephrologists through education, career development, outreach, and free community health screenings in medically underserved populations. We strive to serve with humanity and humility as we work together to fight kidney diseases and promote health justice.
KDSAP works to raise public awareness and promote early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease. Our screenings test participants for CKD risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity and connect participants with educational and medical resources.
We bring together UCLA students, physician volunteers, and community members (like you!) to fight kidney diseases. Donate today to help make these screenings possible.
Your donations help KDSAP secure more supplies, schedule more screenings, and support more community members.
At each screening, UCLA student volunteers work alongside physicians to test participants’ blood glucose, urine, blood pressure, and body measurements. These tests require medical equipment such as urinalysis machines, blood pressure cuffs, and blood glucose monitors. To keep our participants and volunteers safe, we also need materials such as gloves, alcohol swabs, and band-aids. Donations from people like you would help us purchase more supplies so we can run more screenings and serve more community members.
In addition to purchasing equipment and supplies, we are looking for donations to help support our travel costs. Currently, our screenings are geographically limited to around UCLA. With your help, we could expand our screenings into medically underserved areas of Los Angeles that we are currently unable to reach.

A $10 donation helps us buy water bottles to help patients prepare for urinalysis!
Show your Bruin spirit during the UCLA Blue & Gold Challenge! Gifts made this week (11/17 - 11/23) count towards the challenge goal. To show our appreciation, we will send you a UCLA commemorative lapel pin set (set of 3). (tax-deductible gift of $21.65).
We need to buy shirts for our new KDSAP members to wear at screenings. $50 would help us get shirts for 10 new members!
A donation of $100 would allow us to screen 100 community members for signs of chronic kidney disease!
A portable power bank would allow us to hold outdoor screenings and expand to more locations! We are currently limited to locations where we can easily plug in our urinalysis machine.
We are hoping to expand our reach this year! Your generous donation would help us transport our materials and volunteers to screenings in further communities.
