About Our Cause

Hi! We are UCLA Club Pickleball, a passionate and tight-knit team standing at the forefront of what we believe will take the campus by storm. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, and for good reason: it's accessible, affordable, and, most importantly, incredibly fun! This nationwide growth has been mirrored by an exponentially increasing interest on campus. For the past two years, we've operated as a recreational club, hosting open play events and building a large community of dedicated players. Now, as we transition into a new era and become an official club sport, we need your support!

It's been a long road for the UCLA Pickleball Club—from our humble beginnings as a small group of players to a community 500 strong, culminating in the launch of our competitive club sport. The journey has not been without its challenges, the biggest being infrastructural: finding the space for players to connect, practice, and have fun! UCLA has been gracious in their expansion of the pickleball space at Sunset Recreation, but we are aiming even higher. We want to accommodate players of all skill levels and continue growing the sport. With your help, we can bring the joy of pickleball to more people.

New pickleball nets and equipment purchased with the help of your donations will be a game-changer for our club, enabling us to expand both recreational and competitive play. With more nets, we can accommodate a greater number of players, enabling open play events and reducing wait times outside of club-sanctioned time. Your donations will also go towards supporting the club's transportation and registration in tournaments so that we may represent UCLA off campus. Moreover, donations will also help us host events for our beloved community of expert and prospective players alike.
