Women's Club Soccer Fundraiser 2024 - Help Take Us to Nationals

WHO WE ARE

UCLA Women's Club Soccer is a group of 27 talented and competitive women, united by their passion and love of the game. Not only did we have the opportunity to add a few more additions to our family but also a new coach, Dayna Stork. 

We are very excited to come back this year after such an incredible season last year where we were able to win a National Championship and be officially recognized as the #1 club soccer team in America!

On top of our demanding soccer schedule, each player is smart and gifted to not only be able to succeed on the field, but also excel in the classroom in a variety of  different majors.

Beyond that, UCLA Women's Club Soccer is a family, supporting and pushing each other to do our best throughout all aspects of our lives, as well as making time to have fun with each other with movie nights, living together, and having singing sessions in the car. We love soccer, but we love each other even more.

As a student-run club only partially funded by UCLA, we rely on individual dues and community donations for funding. Thanks to our strong network of friends, family, and alumni, we are able to raise thousands of dollars each year in order to finance everything from equipment to tournament fees to plane tickets. Last year, we were able to raise over $10,000, which helped take us to victory. 

However, none of this is possible without the generosity of our donors. This year, we have already secured another bid to return to Round Rock, Texas and are looking to once again win out the toughest bracket in the nation for the 2nd year in a row. Our fundraiser goal is to raise $10,000, most of which will go to covering travel expenses for the trip, which is why we need your help as a donor!PROGRAM HISTORY

UCLA Women‘s Club Soccer strives for success in all aspects of our lives, from the field, to the classroom, to jobs and even when having fun. While we practice 3 times a week and play up to 5 games on weekends, players also devote time to other clubs and activities—all this on top of the demanding coursework required of students at UCLA! Each player is inspired by the drive, talent, and tenacity of her teammates to set high goals; the support we receive from each other allows us to reach them. Off the field, we have become close friends, and made connections which have endured long after graduating.This program has a long history of excellence, and each season we are able to keep getting better and better. In 2019, our team made it to the semi-finals of the closed division of the NIRSA national competition. In 2021, we placed first in our league, as well as within the top 16 teams in the country. In 2022, of course, we defeated Kansas University in the open division championship game of Nationals and last year marked the most successful season in our program’s history with victories in UCSB Tournament, a National Championship and a victory in league, which gave us the title of #1 club team in America going into this season.

None of this would be possible without the generous gifts we receive from donors. Not only does it help fund our competitions and travel fees, but it also helps alleviate the financial stress for players who already pay for tuition, housing, textbooks, and food. Whatever amount we do not raise, we pay for out of pocket, which is why every amount makes a difference! With your help, players can continue to play the game they love without the financial stress, and, as an added benefit to donors, your donations are tax-deductible!
