Thank you and Meet Our LACMA Conservator Team Partners!

March 12, 2014

Thank you all so much for your support!

We are so humbled and grateful for your gifts to empower our UCLA Watts Towers Engineering team to continue our vital research on how to save this historic landmark.

It takes strong partnerships in this world to change it for the better - and we are so fortunate and proud to continue our relationship with the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art (LACMA)

Your support will help us develop a comprehensive preservation plan.

We wanted to introduce you to our LACMA conservation partners! Please check out LACMA's Youtube video devoted to the effort to conserve a piece of our community's history!

Thank you for your continued support! Please share our important cause to your network via social media! We are so grateful for your help!

UCLA Watts Towers Project Update - Thank You!

March 20, 2014

Dear cherished family, friends, colleagues and supporters,

The initial UCLA Spark fundraising campaign for supporting our ongoing research on the Watts Towers has ended recently. We have raised nearly $3,500 from 43 generous donors whose names are proudly displayed on our Donor Wall at the UCLA Spark website!

Thank your for your kind and generous help (donors should expect to receive their perks soon!) Your gifts will directly support a graduate student who will be working on the data that we have been collecting since last year.

This includes data from last week’s magnitude 4.4 earthquake we’ve experienced in Los Angeles.

Ultimately, we fell short of our initial goal of $15,000, but UCLA Spark has kindly granted us a week-long extension. So, if you considered a contribution and haven’t had a chance to act on it yet, there is still time—our extended campaign ends on Wednesday, March 26, at 11:59 PM PST!

Please also consider sharing our cause with your friends via social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

Thank you again for your support!

Sincerely,

Ertugrul Taciroglu

8 Hours to Go! Please Help Our UCLA Engineering Watts Towers Team Project

March 26, 2014

Dear supporters and friends,

We are deeply grateful for your support!

Because of you we are moving closer to a more comprehensive conservation plan with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) of this beloved landmark from your support.

Yet we are still behind in our goal and we need your help now more than ever!

We have just 8 hours left in our spark crowdfunding campaign to continue our project. In these 9 hours, our goal is to fundraise $1,500 to get us to $5,000!

We ask that you please consider a gift to our project. Any amount will make a dramatic impact in these few remaining hours left in our campaign. If you have already joined our team through a contribution we thank you!

From all of us on the UCLA Engineering Watts Towers team, thank you for your generous gifts and joining our passion project!

Sincerely,

Professor Taciroglu
