STORY TIME AT THE FOWLER Fri Nov 18 | 11:30–12:30pm “Wangari’s Tree of Peace” Children of all ages are invited to discover the true story of Wangari Maathai, environmentalist and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, in Wangari’s Trees of Peace: A True Story from Africa (2008). At the end, a Museum Educator will lead a brief exploration of artworks related to the story.
KIDS IN THE COURTYARD Sun Nov 18 | 1–4pm Printing with Plants Join us for a day of art-making activities celebrating LA-based artist Fran Siegel’s drawing project in Lineage Through Landscape! Families can find inspiration in the courtyard’s natural environment, create solar-powered prints using plants, and explore paper weaving techniques.
