Dear Friends and Loved Ones of Kendra’s,
On behalf of Cohort 3 and all the wonderful friends, colleagues, professors and students who had the privilege of getting to work with and know Kendra, we want to thank you for your generous donation to the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship. Not only did we reach our goal of $25,000, we surpassed it! This amazing success is a testament to Kendra's impact on the UCLA community and beyond, and could not have been possible without the commitment and thoughtfulness of our many donors.
There is nothing that will ever replace Kendra’s enthusiasm and spirit, but knowing that her legacy will continue through future UCLA students in the MFA Acting program, gives all of us a sense of community and joy. As we look toward the future we will forever hold Kendra in our hearts. Thank you again for helping us to honor her.

We’re THRILLED to announce that your outreach on behalf of the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship campaign has truly made a difference toward our shared $25,000 goal! THANK YOU!
More than 24 people stepped up to contribute over $9,000 to the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship since we announced the anonymous donor’s challenge to raise an additional $7.5k between #GivingTuesday and December 9th. As a result of these donors and your efforts, we have unlocked the anonymous donor’s $7.5k gift a full day early, bringing our total raised for the Kendra Memorial Scholarship to $23,350, or 93% to our overall goal.
THANK YOU to all donors who have brought us to this incredible milestone. Because of you, Kendra’s legacy of kindness, passion, and opportunity will live on at UCLA for YEARS TO COME in the form of the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship.
We cannot wait to share more information about the award schedule & criteria, the inaugural recipient(s), and other news related to the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship. But first – our work must continue and we, again, humbly request your help in securing the remaining $1,650 needed to meet our target funding goal.
Please continue to share the campaign widely and with anyone who might be interested in supporting Kendra’s legacy at UCLA. Remember, any size donation will bring us closer to our goal. We know this is an ambitious goal, but we, as a Kendra’s friends and loved ones, are determined to see it realized.

Dear Friends and Loved Ones of Kendra,
Thank you so much for making your gift in honor and in memory of Kendra. Her legacy is alive and well here at UCLA, and through this scholarship, it will be for years to come. Your donations will provide many opportunities to an up-and-coming LatinX actor here at the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. We can't wait to share more updates with you about the Kendra Perez Memorial scholarship later this year, and after our campaign ends on January 1st.
Giving back to the community and spreading awareness about important causes was important to Kendra, and it's important to us, too.
You've already done so much just by contributing to our efforts, but we need your help once again today. For the last 6 years, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been known as #GivingTuesday - a day which celebrates giving back and generosity following a week often filled with digital shopping sprees.
An anonymous donor has come forward with a challenge to the MFA Cohort #3 crowdfunding team. Starting this morning and until midnight on December 9th, this anonymous donor will be matching all donations to the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship campaign on a dollar-to-dollar basis, up to $7,500. In essence, this means that all donations made to Kendra's Memorial campaign will have double the impact, because donations will go twice as far.
We need your help in sharing our campaign page, video, and your own reasons for supporting the Kendra Perez Memorial Scholarship. With your voices, we will be able to reach even more people who knew Kendra, and who might want to donate to the scholarship.
All donations, whether it's a lot or a little, will be matched by the anonymous donor, up to $7,500, and will ensure that this scholarship remains funded for years to come.

For the number of Tony Awards, we all know Kendra should have and would have received.
On November 19th Kendra would have turned 27 years old. Happy Birthday, Chiquita! Your spirit lives on.
Kendra touched the lives of 80 undergraduate students when she taught The Basics of Acting T20 class at UCLA. Your gift will ensure that Kendra’s teaching legacy continues.
Kendra shook the hands of each and every one of her students before they entered the studio. 10 weeks a quarter, two times a week, Kendra taught 20 students per class for two quarters at UCLA – that’s 120 handshakes. Let’s keep the tradition going.
Kendra was one of a kind and loved creating new characters. From Mother Courage to Desdemona, she could have played 250 more.
Kendra’s spent about 420 days at UCLA - all too short a time, but long enough to leave a lasting impact on her colleagues, students, professors and everyone she touched at UCLA.
The total number of students enrolled in the School of Theatre, Film and Television at UCLA in 2017. Kendra’s absence is felt every day, but her leadership and creativity will remain with all of us forever. Presente
A Texas girl at heart, Kendra’s theatrical adventures brought her 1412 miles from Laredo, to Hollywood where she would pursue a life changing program at UCLA TFT. Your gift will enable another student to fulfill their dreams.
