Hey folks, thanks for stopping by! My name is Kyle Ryan and I'm a first year MPH student in the Department of Community Health Sciences here at the Fielding School of Public Health, focusing my degree on Sexual, Reproductive, and LGBT Health. I wanted to be sure to contribute to the Fielding community in terms of academics and extracurriculars, so in comes the FSPH marathon team!
Not only is completing a marathon a personal goal of mine, but participating as a member of the FSPH team gives me the opportunity to help make summer field studies more accessible to the public health students here at UCLA. By contributing to field study funding, we can help folks make an impact in their placements addressing mental health, homelessness, health disparities, and countless other public health crises (both domestically and globally!) . These experiences are crucial not only for the development of our students, but also to the wellbeing of the communities we'll be working with. Please join me in supporting the team and our field studies program.
