Whether it’s your final quarter or you still have a little extra to go, as you look back on your time at UCLA, think about what matters most to you. Whether it’s the connections you made both in and outside of the classroom or the value of your degree, you are a Bruin for life.
Join the Class of 2018 in giving back to the place you have called home for the past few years and be a part of our goal: 900 senior class gifts.
A gift to UCLA as part of your senior class experience places you among the leaders in the Bruin family who are making a lasting impact on UCLA’s future through their support.
Did you know that 7 percent of the University’s operating budget comes from the state, and student fees comprise just another 8 percent of the total funds?
This means that 85% of UCLA’s operating budget comes from additional sources, including private support. This allows UCLA to maintain an intimate student-to-teacher ratio and remain top 10 in education rankings.
Student giving matters! All gifts in any amount to any fund on campus make a difference. Every dollar that comes into UCLA from private support is crucial so that UCLA can continue to thrive in research, rankings and programs. A gift that you make today will be counted towards our $4.2 Billion Centennial Campaign goal and you will be a supporter of UCLA moving forward in its next century.

"This last quarter feels bittersweet as I reflect upon my time here at UCLA. As a non-traditional student, the transition to the top public university in the county has been one of the greatest challenges of my life but also one of the most rewarding. UCLA has given me so much and changed who I am in many positive ways. My Bruin legacy is a future full of competent public servants and sensible, fact-based laws. Please join me in being an active participant in our Bruin legacy." Fun fact: "I enjoy crocheting in my free time."
- Wesley Bridle, Class of 2018, Economics major and Public Affairs minor
"Being a student-athlete here at UCLA, I have been given so many opportunities, more than I could ever imagine. Through this, I have learned not to take these opportunities for granted and to be mindful of and grateful for what I have been given. I am a firm believer in giving back because I know that there is always someone in need.” Fun fact: "Gymnast of seventeen years."
- JaNay Honest, Class of 2018, English major and UCLA Bruins Women's Gymnastics member
"As a non-traditional transfer, I came in as a Junior who had never experienced university life. Due to the resources on campus and the amazing staff and student body, UCLA immediately felt like home. UCLA has helped me develop into the person I am today. I give back to the Community Programs Office because it offers so many resources to Bruins. We create and contribute to the campus every day, and I want our campus to be the best that it can be.” Fun fact: "I love baking and creating recipes for my food blog."
-Patience Victoria Wilcox, Class of 2018, Philosophy major and English minor
"Due to my deep interest in philanthropy, I've been involved with the Student Giving Committee and have donated to the need-based scholarships fund. The difficulty for out-of-state Bruins is an issue close to me as my significant other, whom I met while studying at UCLA, is from Maine. I want to do everything I can to ensure that UCLA provides aid for these struggling Bruins. I'm excited to be part of a class that will help future Bruins create lasting bonds!" Fun fact: "Bruin Day was the reason I came to U.C.L.A."
- Susana Barriga, Class of 2018, Comparative Literature major
