Thanks to all of your generous support, the 2018-2019 Ocean Team was able to raise $2,960 that will go directly support research combating ocean acidification in the Santa Monica Bay! With 98% of our $3,000 fundraising goal complete, we are ready to begin our research in Winter Quarter. We can't say enough to thank those that contributed to and promoted this campaign- you are true partners in UCLA’s work to study and mitigate climate change.
For those of you that selected perks from your donations, we will begin delivering those in early January when the team gets back together at the start of Winter Quarter. To receive more specific updates regarding perks as well as the status of our research, we ask that you continue to follow our project page hhttps://bit.ly/2BvqZwa and Facebook page https://bit.ly/2T3Mj2O. We look forward to kicking off the New Year with the beginning of our project! Thank you again!
There are only 3 short days left in the 2018 Ocean Team’s campaign, and if you’re interested in helping to support a scientific effort to mitigate significant impacts of climate change, time is running out to donate!
We are in the final days of the campaign and making the last push to our goal of $3,000. We're 73% of the way there, but we need your help to get all the way across the finish line! Your contributions will fuel the efforts of UCLA students who are conducting research on marine vegetation that has the potential to alleviate the effects of ocean acidification. We are prepared to record and analyze data regarding the effects that certain marine plants have on ocean pH levels and whether they are a viable solution to ocean acidification.
If you’ve already made a donation to our campaign, thank you! You are a true partner in UCLA’s work to study and mitigate climate change.
If you wish to support us, we appreciate donations of every size, seriously, $1 or more. To donate, please click here https://spark.ucla.edu/project/11230?fbclid=IwAR1eaO0-zGWl9W4zAUOlsQpyZKtIPkLRFOlz6yDbLhfBOVBzFzGv6da7Wn4.
You could be the one who gets us to our goal. Thank you one last time and Go Bruins!
Best regards,
Ryan, Emma, Mackenzie, Evan, Gonzalo, Eyal, and Britanie
