The UCLA International Institute is the central hub for global and area studies on campus. Our 25+ centers and programs support innovative multidisciplinary research on specific world regions and pressing global issues. Our challenging academic programs offer degrees in global studies, international development, global health, international migration and diverse countries and regions of the world.

PROVIDE ACCESS TO A GLOBAL EDUCATION TO ALL STUDENTS 

At the UCLA International Institute, our mission is to provide and make a global education accessible to all students. In our globalized and interconnected world, it is becoming increasingly imperative that we provide international enrichment opportunities for our students. However, for many UCLA  students, there are often financial barriers that interfere with their pursuit of an international academic enrichment experience.making this dream a reality.

THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE NEEDS YOUR HELP 

Just as the number of applications to UCLA continues to grow, so does the cost of higher education. For many students, attending UCLA is only made possible by the scholarships they receive. Tuition increases are prevalent across the nation, and state funding is declining. The notion of student debt will prevent the best and brightest from even considering a study abroad experience, let alone pursuing the opportunity.

By contributing to the UCLA International Institute’s Undergraduate Scholarship for Study Abroad, you can reverse this trend. Not only will this fund provide student scholarships that offset some of the cost of study abroad, it will also help Bruins become more well-rounded, bold, and intentional global citizens - which ultimately effects positive change both here in the states  and abroad.

More than half of UCLA students receive some sort of financial assistance. Your gift helps make UCLA’s dream of an international education for all a more accessible reality for our student body.
