SPARK 101: (Students Potential Advancement with Research Knowledge)
STEM numbers are down in the US. Our theory is that; "With additional exposure and access to UCLA Metabolism Theme scientists and their knowledge, some students will develop a deeper interest in science and others will have a new understanding.
The aim is to SPARK an interest with the students, in science, outside of the regular classroom to help increase and inspire their potential for entering the field of science and to give an opportunity to our volunteers at UCLA to share their knowledge in research and their love of science.
The funds will support our efforts to reach underserved populations in the public schools for students in grades 3-12. We are an all women founded group and include to promote girls in science along with all students.
