Firstly, we'd like to thank every one of our amazing donors for helping us smash our fundraising goal of $4,500 this year! We ended up raising $5,000, which was 111% of our overall goal, and we did so this year with a larger group of donors than ever before. We at UCLA Club Swimming are so grateful for each and every one of you!

Secondly, I'd like to provide you all with an update regarding Nationals, and thus the campaign's goal in general. Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and health of athletes and their families across the nation, College Club Swimming has cancelled the 2020 National Championships. While this may be disappointing news to receive (it certainly was for our swimmers), I wanted to let you know that your donations to our swim team will still be put to good use. Whether this be for better equipment, officials for our home meets, or next year's nationals competition, the money we raised during this year's SPARK campaign will only be used to support our team!

One other thing: in response to concerns regarding COVID-19, UCLA Club Swimming will not be meeting again for practices until April 13th at the earliest. To those of you who claimed perks during the campaign, don't worry – we will make sure you still receive them! This includes the Nationals vlog, which in lieu of a virtual trip to nationals will be a video summary of the entire year with UCLA Club Swimming :)

UCLA Club Swimming

This evening, we reached this year's fundraising goal of $4,500! Thank you so much to all our donors – you've all helped make it possible for our club athletes to travel to North Carolina! With four days left still to go, we're excited to see how much more we can surpass our goal, so keep spreading the word of our campaign! Thank you again, all our swimmers have been working so hard to fundraise, and it's great motivation to see their efforts pay off!

March is upon us, which means that Nationals is fast approaching! Last weekend's home meet was a resounding success, as many of our nationals team members made new qualifying times and swam on relays that we will be bringing to North Carolina to face off against some of the fastest club swimmers in the country. As our swimmers remain hard at work training for the big meet, we want to again thank our donors for getting us to over 90% of our goal! We still have one week left to go in our campaign, so let's finish strong and just keep swimming!

As week two of this year's fundraiser comes to a close, we are very nearly at 75% of our goal!! We're so grateful to all of our supporters and donors, and as we enter the second half of our campaign we're on pace to meet (and beat!) our goal. In the pool, our swimmers are on pace to have another strong showing at Nationals. Despite relentless midterms this time of year for these student-athletes, they've remained committed and have kept training hard!

This Saturday, 250 swimmers from 14 different collegiate club swim teams will converge on Spieker Aquatics Center for UCLA's annual Winter Invitational meet. As our swimmers try for more Nationals qualifying times, you can support them by spreading the word about this campaign – or by coming to the meet to cheer us on!

Thanks to all of our donors, we've had a super successful first week of fundraising! Please continue to spread the word about our campaign, as we still have three weeks to go! Our nationals team is now officially set at 19 swimmers – the most we've ever had – and they are hard at work in the pool getting in shape. Thank you to all of our donors for an amazing start to our campaign – within the first three days, we raised an incredible 52% of our goal!! We're so grateful for each and every donation, and we're confident that with your continued support, we'll be able to exceed our goal and make it even easier for our swimmers to make it to Nationals.
