Lacrosse 2022: Grow the Game

Our Team

UCLA's Men’s Lacrosse team is a Competitive Club Sport that has been on campus for over 50 years. One of the oldest collegiate lacrosse programs on the West Coast, the self-funded club team is comprised of 32 driven student-athletes from all over the United States. The team competes at the highest level of lacrosse on the west coast: Division I of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) as a part of the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC).

Our student-athletes participate in practices and meetings four days a week and on the weekends, compete against teams from all over the United States from the Pacific Northwest to Florida and many places in between, totaling about 15 hours of commitment per week, all while balancing a rigorous UCLA course load. The time commitment demands our team to be extremely hardworking as we aim to excel both athletically and academically. With majors ranging from Mechanical Engineering to Political Science, the Men's Lacrosse team is grooming future leaders and contributors to society.

Our Need

As a self-funded club team, our main source of income comes from student-paid dues. With the success of previous campaigns and generous alumni donations, we have been able to keep the lowest dues in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference. This allows Bruins to continue to play the game they love while pursuing a world class education and other interests outside the classroom. The team is often met with new costs every season, which makes it difficult to keep dues at a consistent level.  This year the team is facing new costs including upgrading to new digital shot clocks due to NCAA/MCLA rule changes, increased travel costs with a recent restructuring of the team's conference, and implementation of safety nets behind our goals to ensure no fans or bystanders are hit by a lacrosse ball.

Your Help

We greatly appreciate any donation made to the team as well as any help you can provide spreading the word to help us reach our goal.  We are extremely grateful for everyone’s continued support of UCLA lacrosse for over 50 years and hope to make everyone proud on and off of the field in 2020 and beyond.

Thank you and Go Bruins!

$10

Support UCLA Lacrosse!

Show your support to the UCLA Men’s Club Lacrosse team with this donation!

$25

Lacrosse Balls

High quality lacrosse balls are an integral part of the team’s practices and games. This donation will pay for 16 brand new lacrosse balls to replace ones that are damaged and lost over the course of a year.

$50

Transportation and Gas

In order to get to our away games, we need to either rent buses or provide gas money which this donation would graciously cover.

$100

New Lacrosse Cage Netting

To host our annual PAC-12 tournament, we need over 8 new nets to accommodate the many teams that come to Westwood to play. A donation of $100 will help us replace our old and broken nets with new ones that are essential to each game.

$300

Iconic Gold Lacrosse Helmet

Each new member of the team needs a gold UCLA helmet to wear for their years spent playing lacrosse as a Bruin. Contribute this amount to provide a player with a team helmet.

$500

Safety Nets for Practice Field

In order to keep fans, other club sports teams, and bystanders protected, our team needs to implement safety nets at each endline of our practice field. Donating $500 will cover the cost of a section of this precautionary safety net, which will prevent errant shots or passes from hitting non-players.

$1,000

Implementation of Shot Clocks

New rules to Men’s Club Lacrosse require the use of a shot clock to record possession times of each team. Help contribute to technologically-sound shot clocks that keep our program updated with the new rules through this donation.

$2,000

First Year Dues

Help a student-athlete looking to join the team pay for their first year dues. This expense covers their equipment fees, league dues, and contribution to the team budget.
