Hi Everyone!
My name is Jasper Chan and I am a 2020-2021 Mattel Youth Ambassador. I am a current senior at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where I major in viola performance. Playing the viola has always been a passion of mine and, by attending a performing arts high school, I am able to develop my technique and partake in opportunities like no other, such as performing at the 2020 Grammy Awards. However, music is only a greater compliment to my other goal in life: to enter the medical field. This is why I decided to enter the Mattel Youth Ambassador program, where I get to meet industry professionals and learn about the many aspects of the medical field.
Throughout this program, I would also like to fundraise $2500 for the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital not only as a way to give back to the community but also to thank my advisors for this opportunity. Alongside this crowdfunding page, I plan to incorporate music into my fundraiser. Prior to COVID-19, I regularly performed at a local senior home with a few of my peers. Now, since they are seniors and part of the high-risk population, I plan to perform outside on their patio. After each performance, I will ask around for a few donations to contribute to this main fund. I want to thank those in advance for donating and supporting my story!
