With the support of community members like you, we have been able to directly confront the pandemic, touch countless lives, accelerate groundbreaking discoveries, and provide the finest patient care during these difficult times.
As we look to the other side of the pandemic, we are more committed than ever to addressing any health challenges that may arise — no matter how difficult.
The UCLA Health President’s Greatest Needs Fund supports a broad range of patient medical needs, regardless of financial constraints, to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes and the patient experience. For many people, the cost of essential elements in their healing are out of reach: crutches, braces, a walker or wheelchair, lodging for a loved one, healthy meals, or a ride home. UCLA Health believes finances should not be an obstacle to anyone receiving appropriate care.
In addition to medical care and social services, gifts to the President's Fund help support patients holistically by offering them comprehensive therapeutic activities, such as art, music, and animal-assisted therapy - at no cost to the patient or their loved ones. Funds are also used to help underwrite housing and living expenses, including food and transportation vouchers, for vulnerable patients and their families during emergency situations and extended hospitalizations.
