Hi! My name is Daniel! I am a Youth Ambassador at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. My goal is to raise the funds necessary to help children at the hospital feel supported and loved during this difficult time. I decided to join the Mattel Youth Ambassadors program to make a difference, even if it is small help to our community. I want to help our children and see their smiles.
Currently, I volunteer to tutor young children about different subjects (mathematics, science, etc.). I like to work with children because they are very creative, and their smiles make me to do more. Similarly, I want to bring joy and happiness to our children in Mattel Children's Hospital.
In addition to supporting children, I want to improve upon myself. As a tennis player, I have struggled to get out and play during COVID-19 pandemic. For each donation I receive, I will rally 300 balls with my younger brother, who also plays tennis. I will track my development throughout my project, hopefully proving to myself and you that I can help myself and children in need at the same time, and I believe that improvement comes from a positive mindset and hard work.
Your donations will directly support the Mattel Children's Hospital. The funds will be used towards the music program for the patients, arts and crafts kits, toys for the child playrooms, holiday festivities and birthday celebrations for the children, and funds will also go to the special needs of patients and their families.
