Thanks to you, we have surpassed our ambitious milestone goal, raising over $100,000 in honor of AAP's 50th anniversary!

Throughout this past year we have celebrated with events and activities to engage the entire AAP community. Our distinguished lecture series included highlights such as a panel on anti-Asian racism, a discussion on supporting the health and wellness of American Urban Indian communities, and the 8th annual Winston C. Doby Lecture featuring Erin Brockovich. Our culminating event on December 1st honored the accomplishments of AAP's staff, students and alumni and gave us the chance to celebrate together. 

Your gift in honor of our anniversary, capped off our celebrations, making this a year to remember. You joined others in support of AAP's mission to provide access and resources to those who have been historically underrepresented in higher education and made this our most successful giving campaign to date. Thank you for ensuring that for the next 50 years and beyond, AAP can encourage students to explore their talents and abilities, to believe in themselves, to set the highest standards for themselves, to aspire to academic and personal excellence, to utilize the full range of campus resources, and to develop a sense of community and social responsibility.

On Wednesday, the AAP community gathered virtually and in-person at Royce Hall to celebrate with a special 50th anniversary event. It was a time to look back on the success of AAP programs, celebrate diversity, honor alumni achievements over the past five decades, express gratitude and envision a brighter future. 

You have answered the giving challenge and with just a short time left we have raised nearly $85,000 toward our goal. Let's keep going! In this time of giving thanks, we are grateful for you! Thanks to your generosity we are over halfway to our milestone goal. You have helped us raise thousands to provide our AAP students with the support and resources they need to thrive. It is only because you took the time to make a gift and join in our 50th anniversary efforts that we have made it this far. Last week, we were grateful to partner with the LA Metro Chancellor's Society who organized a call night with the purpose of reaching out to our AAP community in celebration.
