Help send UCLA Triathlon to Nationals!

We are the UCLA Triathlon team. In short, we're a group of students who can’t choose one sport. If we aren’t swimming, biking, or running - we’re probably eating! Since 2002, we have been able to create a network of support among teammates, dedicated alumni, and terrific coaches. Because of this, the connections we make extend far beyond Pacific Coast Highway, the Student Activities Center pool, or Drake Stadium and last long after graduation. Whether you want to win a triathlon, or simply finish one, we aim to help students achieve their goals.

With your donations you will help us to cover the costs of lodging, transportation, registration, and food at Collegiate Nationals!

Because there are so many elements to a triathlon race, especially one across the country, competing at Nationals is very expensive. This is why we’re asking for YOUR help. We greatly appreciate your donation because it will allow us to cover our Nationals costs: race nutrition, registration, and getting us and our bikes to Georgia. Nationals is a tremendous race experience and your generosity allows us to perform at our best abilities.

From all of us at UCLA Triathlon, we would like to thank you in advance for your support and for helping us to realize our racing goals this year!

Our team is shooting to compete at the Collegiate National Championship, which is made up of a 1500 meter swim, 40k bike ride, and 10k run on April 2nd 2022! From January to April every year, we prepare for Nationals by competing in races around California. What makes triathlon so challenging is the time it takes to train for all three components of the race. On top of our course load, we have 12 practices each week. We must learn how to balance our class schedules with our desired training volume. Almost all of us come in with no triathlon experience, but develop a love for this lifestyle and continue racing and training beyond our time at UCLA.

But for now, we have our eyes set on racing as fast as we can at this year’s Collegiate Club National Championships in Lake Lanier, Georgia!

$4

Fuel an athlete with Maurten

To perform at his or her best, an athlete competing in a multi-hour event must replenish energy stores. Purchase a carbohydrate-packed gel to help an athlete race to his/her potential.

$45

Register a mixed-team relay

Everybody loves a relay. Enter a UCLA team consisting of 2 male and 2 female athletes in the super-sprint, high-energy relay race.

$71

Send a bike to Georgia

An athlete’s bike-leg split is roughly half of their overall finish time. Subsidize the cross-country transportation of our chosen machines to Georgia.

$140

Olympic Distance Registration

The Olympic-distance race is the most popular race at Nationals. Give an athlete the opportunity to test his/her limits in a 1-mile swim, 25-mile bike, and 6-mile run.

$350

Round-trip flight

Collegiate Nationals is in Lake Lanier, Georgia this year. Pay the cost of airfare for one athlete and give him/her the chance to compete at the highest level of collegiate triathlon.

$549

Pay for 3 athlete’s lodging

Rested athletes are fast athletes. Help athletes arrive to race day in peak condition by covering the race-week Airbnb cost for three athletes.
