My name is Kristin Mothershed, and I am a senior at West High School. Thank you for taking the time to visit my Spark Page. This year I had the opportunity to apply for the Mattel Youth Ambassadors and was accepted. The Mattel Youth Ambassador program was founded by Nazanin Nayeri, a young cancer survivor. She created the program to help passionate and motivated high school students like myself volunteer and fundraise for patients at Mattel Youth Hospital.
I applied to this program because of my interest in the medical field. My dream is to be a pediatric surgeon and help treat patients with difficult cases while providing relief to their parents. This program has exposed me to different health care careers. At each meeting, I’ve had the opportunity to learn about the background and responsibilities of different types of physicians.
My goal is to earn 1,300 dollars. When you donate to my campaign, your donation will go to fund music programs for patients, art and activity kits, holiday festivities, birthday celebrations, boxes of cheer, and special needs of patients and families.
All donations will be beneficial regardless of the size. They will be greatly appreciated, thank you!
