As we reflect on 2022, we are grateful for you and the opportunity to celebrate Startup UCLA’s 10^th anniversary together, capping off a decade of entrepreneurial development and fostering the innovators of tomorrow. With your generosity, we raised nearly $50,000, which was enough to fully fund our eight talented Summer Accelerator teams. Your generosity not only helped seed eight innovative startups, but also fueled the entrepreneurial careers of the teams behind them.

As we move forward in 2023, we are so excited to see what these bright minds do next. Moreover, we are already hard at work preparing to support the next class of Startup UCLA and invite you to join us in building the next generation of change-makers.

Thank you! Because of you, we raised nearly $50,000. We are absolutely blown away by the alumni, friends and community members who all joined together to fund this years Summer Accelerator teams and launch Startup UCLA into its next decade of Bruin entrepreneurship. 

Looking ahead to 10 years from now and beyond, the future for Startup UCLA and the numerous alumni who have been supported by its programs in the past decade is bright. Thanks to supporters like you, the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders can thrive at UCLA.

Last week at Demo Day, we gathered to celebrate ten years of Bruin entrepreneurship with alumni, staff, friends and family. When the Summer Accelerator teams made their pitches, they demonstrated what makes Startup UCLA so special. The teams highlighted their ingenuity and dedication, underscoring how far they have come after participating in the Summer Accelerator. The other week, our teams had the opportunity to pitch their startups to venture capitalists. This invaluable experience in Silicon Valley allowed our teams to receive feedback, network and grow their ideas. Now during tonight's Demo Day, the teams will get to showcase their startups to the UCLA community. 

We are excited to announce that in honor of Demo Day and our 10th anniversary, a generous donor has pledged a matching gift up to $25K and another donor has made a gift of $10K. This puts us well on our way to reaching our goal! We hope you will join us tonight at Demo Day so we can celebrate your philanthropy and 10 years of Startup UCLA.

This is truly a special time each year when program participants, alumni, faculty, staff and friends come together. Consider taking this time with us to reflect on your rich experiences with the program - whether you participated in the Summer Accelerator, took advantage of the many entrepreneur resources, provided mentorship, or have even generously given to Startup UCLA.
