Enriching The Lives of The Next Generation of Leaders

In 1987, the Riordan Programs was founded by Richard Riordan, former mayor of Los Angeles, and William Ouchi, UCLA Distinguished Professor, and New York Times best-selling author, as a career-based outreach program for high school students in the greater Los Angeles area.

With the help of donors like you, Riordan Scholars from diverse communities in Los Angeles build applicable business knowledge and develop leadership skills that propel them to achieve fulfilling educational trajectories. Today, more than 3,600 Riordan Scholars have graduated from the Riordan Scholars Program, many moving on to study at the nation’s top colleges and universities, all thanks to collaborative efforts and trust in the next generation of leaders.

The Riordan Programs' success is owed in no small part to its integral mentorship component. Our mentors are 1st and 2nd-year UCLA Anderson MBA students who strongly desire to pay it forward. The cross-cultural element creates meaningful learning experiences, helps cultivate long-lasting relationships, and provides valuable opportunities for students to navigate their personal and professional careers.

As a Riordan Programs supporter, you will be making an essential contribution to some of the following initiatives:

•Funding for college scholarship for 12th-grade Riordan Scholars

•Providing a tuition-free program for Riordan Scholars

•Providing reliable transportation to UCLA Anderson School of Management

•Supporting participant activities such as the Riordan Scholar's Program's Stock Market Analyst Competition and Real Estate Competition

Our students come from historically low-income communities and are often the first in their families to graduate from high school and attend college. With the collective efforts of donors like you, we can ensure a tuition-free program at UCLA Anderson, which includes SAT preparation, high-caliber lectures on real estate and the stock market, and the space to unlock a world of possibilities.

Each year, generous donations make Riordan Scholars' sessions possible by covering expenses for print materials, energizing meals, student transportation, and other program-related needs. By being a contributor today, you help us level the playing field for Riordan Scholars and enrich their lives.
