Thanks to the generosity and support of many Lab School community members, we have reached our initial goal of $250,000, unlocking a bonus gift of $100,000!
Each year, we aim to have every Lab School family participate in the Annual Fund campaign by making a gift of personal significance. We still have a ways to go. To that end, and because we’ve reached our initial goal, we are excited to share our stretch goal of $375,000.
Our Spark goals are embedded within the larger mission to raise $2 million for this year’s Annual Fund. When you make a gift toward our stretch goal, you help ensure funding is in place for a successful 2024-2025 school year.
The UCLA Lab School Annual Fund exists to meet the greatest needs of our school that tuition alone cannot cover. It enables us to fully pursue our mission to promote innovation and excellence in education through teaching and learning, research, and public outreach, while at the same time providing tuition support to the families of 40% of our students. Each year, we offer near $3 million in tuition support.
This year’s Annual Fund theme is “Flourishing Through Unity.” By joining all those who have supported UCLA Lab School with their philanthropy throughout the years, you offer a vote of confidence in a school that extends a joyful learning environment to each and every student and fosters a diverse and unified community. The Annual Fund provides for tuition support and much of the resources and human capital that enrich the UCLA Lab School experience for all. For instance, the Annual Fund is essential to maintaining the three-teacher model with a teaching assistant in every classroom.
We thank all who contribute to our giving programs to meet the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating each child, which exceeds $5,000. Your support makes a difference in the lives our students, educators, and families.
Other payment options are available and those gifts may be counted towards our Spark goal if they are received during the timeline of the campaign (November 17 - December 31).
