Dear UCLA Radioheads,
It's been one week since our 2024 pledge drive wrapped — your faith and generosity in student-powered alternative media carried us to 160% of our initial fundraising goal! We're already hard at work putting these funds to use: our vinyl players have been sent off to the repair shop, we have a big order of furniture on its way, and the long-awaited carpet cleaning is in the talks for spring break! This has been super exciting for all of us in the station, who haven't seen major upgrades like these during our time at UCLA Radio.
This was UCLA Radio's first drive in several years and has helped re-establish our fundraising department as a part of our station. I'm so thankful to have a community like ours, that's willing to help pave the way for the future of our programming and projects. It's been so special to connect with all of the alumni, listeners, and other supporters throughout the drive. Keep your eyes peeled on your mailboxes if you have some merch coming from us — we're hard at work getting t-shirts and packages ready and will be mailing things out in the coming weeks.

Over the past week, our 2024 Pledge Drive crossed the $10k threshold! Thank you, for your contributions and believing in our station. Your donations are powering creative, multimedia arts and culture in Westwood, CA.
If you are local to the area and free during the day, we would love for you to join us this Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Bruin Plaza, where we will be hosting an event celebrating our pledge drive — complete with shirts screen printed with love by our members, a DJ set and live performance by student musicians, and a vinyl/ticket giveaway in partnership with Secretly Group. With these funds, we’ll be able to make an incredible range of upgrades across our station, host more artists on our stream and at our events, and ensure that future Bruins inherit operable, updated equipment. Thank you so much for your generosity in the first week of UCLA Radio's Pledge Drive — we're already closing in quickly on our goal of $7,500! It's because of listeners, family members and supporters like you that UCLA Radio has been broadcasting at UCLA for over 50 years.
We are also thrilled to announce that — because of your truly incredible show of support and quick work making our fundraiser a success — we've been offered the opportunity for our drive to be highlighted on ucla.edu from February 5 - 20th. We'll be keeping our drive open a few extra days, just to accommodate this schedule (and we'll get that graphic updated shortly :)).
