Who are we?
The Biomedical Engineering Society seeks to give students the opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience through our technical projects program. Technical projects team members design original, innovative projects that tackle key biomedical issues facing our society.
Engineering Novel Solutions
BMES is committed to developing creative, cost-effective solutions to problems in the biomedical space. Our innovative projects include, but are not limited to: an origami-inspired soft robotic endoscope/catheter, an exploration of the effects of microplastics on mammalian cells, and a smart sleeping mask for personalized treatment. Our program is vital for creating engineers that can transform current treatments for diseases threatening the health of the population.
How can you help?
To develop our technical projects, we need your help purchasing essential materials, tools, and reagents. Every donation is highly impactful, and gives us more creative freedom with our projects!
