Thank you for visiting!
Our crowdfunding campaign has ended, but you can still support the School of Nursing 70th Anniversary Fund by clicking here.
The UCLA School of Nursing, our Alumni Board of Directors, and Dean Sarna have embarked on a physical transformation of the Factor Building surroundings, filling the walls with inspirational art, reflections of our history and showcases of scholarship and science– but we need your help to do it!
In celebration of this milestone, the UCLA School of Nursing is commissioning various improvements around the School:
When completed, these new improvements will be displayed prominently throughout the Factor building on the UCLA campus in Westwood. These installations will inspire, educate and inform students, faculty, staff and visitors to the school.
The walls of art will be especially meaningful to alumni because Gregg Chadwick ‘81 - a UCLA alum and internationally known artist – will create the series of paintings based on historical photos from the School of Nursing archives. This means that the main subject of these paintings will be YOU - our alumni and supporters!
Our Alumni Board of Directors will be helping gather photos, memorabilia, and other historical pieces of significance to our alumni for our walls of history, and our faculty will help us develop the walls of science, which will show how nurses lead the way in many scientific bodies of work.
Our faculty have agreed to donate their time to help create our Walls of Science, our Alumni Board will be helping with our Walls of History, and established artist Gregg Chadwick has agreed to donate his time and talent to create works of art for the School of Nursing. However, there are significant expenses which require additional funding, and will make the series of improvements a reality.
The School of Nursing needs your help to pay for other necessary materials, such as framing, enclosed display cabinets, electronic touch screens, and installation costs for the various improvements.
The series of installations around the Factor Building will look at the UCLA School of Nursing with a scientific, historical, and artistic lens.
This is truly a wonderful opportunity to support and transform the educational environment for the next generation of nurses and scientists. Thank you for supporting the UCLA School of Nursing!

The commissioning of these installations which honor the past of the UCLA School of Nursing is particularly significant to Dean Linda Sarna, who will be celebrating her 50th reunion with the Nursing class of 1969. Dean Sarna has agreed to match up to $5,000 towards this campaign through her discretionary funding, and has contributed personally as well.
Thank you to Dean Sarna, and to YOU for supporting this campaign.
