UCLA Women's Lacrosse is a varsity club sport within the UCLA Recreation Department here on campus. Being a club sport means that our team is primarily student-run and fully self-funded. Because our program is pay-to-play, everybody on the field is willing to dedicate a lot of their time to the team because we all love the sport so much. UCLA Women’s Lacrosse provides a great opportunity for Bruins to be part of something bigger than themselves and gain lifelong skills and friends. We have two teams here at UCLA, an A Team and a B Team. Both teams offer a competitive, supportive, family-type environment, and allow players to compete at the local and national levels.
Both A and B team have had competitive seasons thus far and are looking ahead to compete at the Western Women's Lacrosse League playoffs in San Luis Obispo, CA on April 14th and 15th. In order to get there, we have been putting in work on the field, practicing more than 10 hours a week with conditioning and stick skills to build a stronger team, on top of managing a full load of classes. Our A team has been nationally ranked in the top 10 for the entirety of season and are working hard to have a run at the national championship for the 5th year in a row...but we need your help!
We have only gotten this far because of the constant support from our parents, families, and friends. Whether you were there for us from the very start or joined somewhere along the way, you have always pushed us to be our best, and we would be nowhere without you. We promise to give it our all on the field, and we would appreciate your help off the field. Taking nearly 50 student-athletes from our home in Westwood to WWLL Playoffs in SLO and then WCLA Nationals in River Rock, TX, booking hotel accommodations, and paying tournament entry fees is expensive. Please help us bring some hardware back to Westwood by donating to our team's Playoffs and Nationals fund. Any amount at all helps and is greatly appreciated. Help us get there, and we'll take care of the rest!
